Organizing Twitter’s Content into Segments

“Eddi” organizes Twitter’s content. Researchers at PARC Lab, feed tweets into a search engine to extract content topics. “Eddi” takes the tweets, and feeds them into Yahoo!’s search engine. The search engine points “Eddi” to the topics contained in the tweet. “Eddi” then classifies all the tweets, and summarizes all the activity in a tag cloud. This approach generates tags by tapping the web’s collective intelligence.

These Docomo headphones read your eye movements and convert information enabling the control your audio player.

Electrodes fitted into the headphones pads detect the direction of vision by measuring muscle movement similar to EOG Electo-oculargrams. By looking in specific directions, one controls the functionality present in typical audio interfaces.

This interaction approach was originally conceived ten years ago by interaction designer Jef Raskin, researching the Humane Interface through his ZoomWorld browser prototype. Now, ten years later Microsoft built their own version with Seadragon technology.

Skinput, Body Touchscreen Interface

Skinput is an interface concept that consists of an armband wrapping around the wearer’s biceps and detecting small vibrations generated when the user taps the skin of his arm or hand.

The Pico projector simulation is used to illustrate the interactive sequencing, and is not necessary once the skin input points are memorized.
